Live your dream. The present owners have done so, cruising extensively throughout the Sea of Cortez for the past 11 years, in this well maintained Ericson 38. With many upgrades and modifications the accent has been on safety and comfort. Unfortunately, due to health issues, they can no longer continue this fantastic lifestyle but Cantem Para Mi is ready to resume her adventures.

Excellent light and ventilation below makes this a great boat for cruising. The interior is well laid out providing privacy for 2 couples with 2 private state rooms. The dining table/u shaped settee converts to a double bunk. All cushions and mattresses have recently been replaced. There is a large, with lots of counter space, sea going galley with a 2 burner gimballed stove with oven, a double SS sink with hot and cold pressure water and an Adler Barber refrigerator/freezer. A dedicated navigation station makes for easy chart plotting. Strip lighting in the salon gives it a warm cozy look added to which there is a teak and holly sole.

Safety and navigation aids include AIS/GPS Standard Horizon VHF with cockpit remote, EPIRB, a Kenwood SSB and radar. There is a Standard Horizon chart plotter and Benmar auto helm in the cockpit. A 6 man liferaft is stowed on deck. There are 5 auto bilge pumps.

On deck security is provided by the bow to stern double 1″ SS tubing, 2 oversize SS pulpits at mast and handrails that are strategically located throughout the roomy cockpit. The majority of the winches are self tailing. The 36″ destroyer type SS wheel is binnacle mounted together with engine control levers, a Ritchie compass and wind speed and direction and depth instruments. On the stern SS davits provide a location for 2 x 90w solar panels. An outboard engine hoist and a radar mast complete the picture. For your enjoyment there is a large folding teak cockpit table which allows for outdoor meals and games. The cockpit can also be completely enclosed with custom canvas.

Hull and topsides were painted in 2016. Also in 2016 a new Maxwell remote control windlass was installed. A 3 bladed propeller provides better efficiency and fuel economy. The shaft seal is dripless.

The Ericson has a double spreader rig with a fully battened mainsail, with 2 reef points, and Alado roller furling. Stack pack and lazy jacks make easy stowage of the mainsail. Other sails include a spare main and a 140% genoa, a 90% genoa, storm sail and spinnacker.

Diesel power is supplied by a mechanic maintained Universal 32. 4 new golf cart batteries were installed in Feb. 2019.

This is a well laid out blue water cruiser and excellent value. Be sure to click on full specs to see all she has to offer.
