1977 Cal 3-46

$29,900.00

Description

” This great cruiser liveaboard is back on the market due to health issues”

ENGINE HAS JUST BEEN RUN AND MECHANIC SAYS GOOD

The Cal 3-46 is the last in the Cal 46 Series. It is a collaboration between Bill Lapworth, a famous designer and legend in yachting circles, and Jensen Marine of South California. Introduced in ’63, the Cal 46 hull design, a modified full keel for sea-keeping and a spade rudder for maneuverability, remained unchanged throughout subsequent modifications. Instead they focused on interior improvements and livability…the final modification, the 3-46, achieves the ultimate balance of performance and comfort.

This vessel is being sold as a project, “as is”, as out of country owner’s health issues while he was refitting for the passage to his home in New Zealand. He has purchased SSB, Chartplotter and one new head. The boat has been cleaned and the main cabin reassembled and only needing paint in a few areas.

The engine has just been run for the owner, and has been given a thumbs up by a certified marine mechanic performing the work. This deal just keeps getting better.

The standing workshop in the engine room is a big plus afforded in a vessel of this size.

If you are a handy person with a limited budget, but lots of time and dreams of living and cruising, this may be your next yacht.
San Carlos, Sonora is an easy and safe five hour drive South of Nogales Arizona. The alternative is to fly in to Tucson AZ and take the Tufesa bus to Guaymas, Sonora. There is an excellent Holiday Inn Express in Guaymas, for around $60us/night, and taxis are cheap. Don’t forget your passport.
Give Albert a call for any of your boating needs. San Carlos, it’s closer than you think.

Financial and titling transactions are conducted in the US or Canada by licensed agents. An offshore purchase means great savings and the process is safe and hassle-free.
