29′ Bristol

Current Price: US$ 9,500

Yacht World Number: 2311271
Located in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico
Year: 1968
Hull Material: Fiberglass
Bristol Yachts was started by Clint Pearson, after leaving Pearson Yachts in 1964. The second design of the newly-formed Bristol Yacht Company, the Bristol 29 was designed by a local marine architect, Halsey Herreshoff. As we all know today, Mr. Herreshoff proved a gifted marine architect and that is evidenced in the way the Bristol 29 sails with the grace and sensitivity. The Bristol 29 is a sailor’s boat, her design is about perfect for sailing to windward. The Bristol 29 is also known for having greater speed than her waterline might otherwise indicate. Her long overhangs aid that speed and in keeping the decks dry. A low freeboard tends to keep her steady at anchor and the large cockpit has seats long and wide enough to sleep on in fine weather. The Bristol 29 has also gained a reputation for solid construction, and have proven durable over time. The deck-stepped mast support is overbuilt, the Monel fuel tank will outlive you and the boat. The head is relatively large, with a built-in shower pan and drain. The lazerette is large enough to climb into, providing copious storage. Internal ballast is lead, and the lead is fitted into the forward end of the keel and encapsulated in polyester resin. This boat at this price is worthy of your consideration. Come take a look at this boat and enjoy the warm weather in San Carlos on the Sea of Cortez while you do.
