” Echelon” is a center cockpit-aft cabin, ketch rigged, ocean voyaging yacht and is one of Bill Gardens finest designs and has set the standard for long-range voyaging sail boats. Arthur Beiser in his definitive work “The Proper Yacht” describes the Vagabond 47 as “more ship than yacht”. The Vagabond 47’s loaded draft is only 5′ 6″ and yet she still handles well in light air and close to the wind and once a heavy displacement hull has a little way on, it will move steadily in the lightest of winds. The Vagabond 47 is the most proven yacht of its size and class. “Echelon” represents the best value for top quality at a very attractive price. Live-aboards, weekenders, or world cruisers. The owner cannot come down to perform a Sea Trial a sale will be without a sea trial, survey and engine inspections can be done. This vessel is located in beautiful San Carlos Sonora, Mexico, A short 250 mile drive on a safe 4 lane highway from Nogales, Az.
