The Bertram 31 is a no compromise fishing machine designed by Ray Hunt. Its reputation is legendary. This boat was completely redone in 2004 and has since been upgraded with top of the line fishing equipment. Do not mistake this vessel for a family day cruiser or overnighter it is a serious fishing platform period.
The accommodations are limited and Spartan and would probably qualify under UN mandate as human rights violations. This boat is for serious fishing not cocktail cruising. The galley has nothing, bring an ice chest and your sandwiches. Aside from the head there are no amenities that are not directly related to serious fishing. There are fresh and salt water wash downs in the cockpit. Quality outriggers, fighting chair, rocket launcher sand pole holders built in fish box,(transom door) There has been a splash defector incorporated into the bow toe rail that mitigates some of the wet ride. The Bertram 31 is a fine example of form following function and it ‘appealing lines are timeless. It is strong, fast and will get you to the fish and home. Its reputation has been earned and serious fisherman the world over treasures them.
